The West Coast presents unique challenges relative to property development in support of health system formation. West Coast payors and providers must develop a service mix for one of the most diverse populations in the country. They must simultaneously address a regulatory environment that mandates FGI standards, the quality of the work/care environment and codes relative to an active seismic landscape. An effective Master Plan must address all of these issues. In this session we will present the Saint Agnes Medical Center’s Master Plan in Fresno CA---as a Case Study of the myriad influences faced by a West Coast provider focused on expanding their service offering while addressing health system and regulatory demands.
In this session we will address:
Clinical service distribution for ambulatory and inpatient services
Physician participation in planning and service provision
The implications of SB 1953, Seismic Retrofit
Strategic focus on clinical and real property strengths
